In baseball I was a hitter's ump. HAD to be a strike.


Catch the bottom of the knee or one corner of the plate, okay. Had to be under underarms, i.e., letter high. Had to catch white of the plate. Black border is not official. My friend cleared the black. I covered it with dirt. He gave egregious outside pitches. Hard enough to hit as it was.
